The very latest major project in Kent is the "Kent Station," a community focal point and identity.  It is a $100 million, 470,000 square foot retail, education, entertainment and residential project, located adjacent to the Sound Transit commuter rail station and parking garage.  Phase I opened with entertainment and food service facilities along with retail and service oriented businesses.  Phase II added an additional 80,000 square feet of retail space.  Phase III will be the addition of 140 residential units and Phase IV  provides additional space for the Green River Community College facility.
